For example, statistics show that most home burglaries occur during the vacation months of summer, as this is when most homes throughout the neighborhood are unoccupied and vulnerable.
Here are some simple tips for keeping your family and your home safe during the summer months:
• Many child accidents occur in or around swimming pools. Always supervise children while outside and near a pool. If swimming with children, be sure they are aware of the dangers of a pool and follow the proper pool rules.
• The summer months are usually very hot and humid. If going camping or participating in outdoor activities, be sure to stay hydrated with water or sports drinks.
